History of Hillcrest

In November 2006 there was a vision of establishing a new congregation in the Springfield area with a membership of about 55 people. Plans unfolded and the journey began. After different locations of worship a temporary meeting place was established at the old Springfield National Guard Armory located on Hwy 41 in Springfield. In 2007 Elders were selected and the congregation grew from 55 to 225 and the plans for a building became a reality on August 3, 2008 with our first worship service in the new building. The work of the Lord continues with baptisms, new members, and restorations as the love among the brethren grows.
